A FANTASTIC RUSSIAN SHAPED LACQUER BOX, PALEKH, SIGNED, CIRCA 2002. The rectangular box with shaped hinged lid, overall painted on each side panel (9) scenes from the fairy tale "The Dead Princess". Artist signed in Cyrillic Mayevskaya and also inscribed Palekh. Height 7.25 inches (19 cm), width 5.25 inches (14.5 cm). Together with original receipt of purchase for $2,550.
