A VERY FINE PRESENTATION MODEL OF A CIVIL WAR PERIOD CAISSON WITH HORSE DRAWN CANNON AND LIMBER, EARLY 20TH CENTURY. A hand made machinist turned steel cannon, with machined steel wheels and mountings behind a steel wheeled limber with tin caisson, pulled by a pair of cast metal and bronze patinated horses with a single rider. Length 36 inches, contained in a glazed oak display case, 43 inches x 12.5 inches x 12.5 inches and accompanied by a typed card reading “Replica of Civil War Field Piece, presented by the E.B. Walcott Women’s Relief Corps No. 16 of Milwaukee” (To the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, Wisconsin).
