AN EXTENSIVE RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND ENGRAVED PUNCH SET, MOSCOW 1896-1908. Comprising a circular base resting on four ball feet with rope twist borders encompassing a central circular raised pedestal surrounded by six rope bordered circular cup holders with interspersed reserves engraved with Art Nouveau style floral forms and ribbons. Together with six silver footed cups with hook handles also engraved in the Art Nouveau style and with gilded interiors; and a large central footed bulbous form punch bowl similarly engraved and with beaded foot and rim, the interior also gilded. Also including a similarly decorated kovsh style ladle with hook handle. Hallmarked Moscow 1896-1908 and with Cyrillic maker's mark VS probably for Vasiliy Semenov and 84 silver standard. Height in situ 7.75 inches (20 cm), diameter of tray 10.4 inches (26 cm). Total weight 41.97 troy ounces.
