AN IMPRESSIVE RUSSIAN SILVER AND SHADED ENAMEL LIDDED BOX, 11TH ARTEL, MOSCOW 1906-1917.  The hinged lid decorated overall with a large central medallion in shaded enamel. The corners with large flower heads and the borders with geometric designs in the Pan Slavic taste. The side panels similarly enameled. The lid with cabochon set thumb piece opening to reveal a gilded interior. Hallmarked Moscow circa 1906-1917, maker's mark of the 11th Artel and 84 silver standard, also with scratched inventory number 17173. Length 6.6 inches (17 cm).
