A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND SHADED ENAMEL KOVSH, MARIA SEMENOVA, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1908-1917. Of traditional form, with hook handle and raised prow, the sides and handle enameled in geometric motifs and foliate sprays in various colors on rose and pale blue colored ground. The handle of conforming design on a pale blue and rose ground, and the sides with white beaded enameling. Hallmarked Moscow 1908-1917, with Cyrillic maker's mark MS for Maria Semenova and 84 silver standard. Length 4.75 inches (12.2 cm).
