AN EXCEPTIONAL LIMOGES ENAMELED GILT BRONZE AND ALABASTER HOLY WATER FONT, FRENCH CIRCA 1925. At center, a gilt bronze arched frame with bell flower border and ribbon tied cross finial, containing a Limoges enameled portrait of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus (Lisieux). Mounted on a carved, shaped alabaster plaque inside a gilt bronze and guilloche enameled undulating border with gilt bronze water font, with hinged lid mounted below. 16.5 inches x 10.75 inches (42 x 27.2 cm).
