A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE MEISSEN NEOCLASSICAL (CAPO-DI-MONTE) STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED PORCELAIN BOX, LATE 19TH CENTURY. Of rectangular form, with hinged cover, colorfully decorated with a military battle, hunting and bathing scenes, in a molded relief, heightened with gilding. Gilt metal mounts and quilted satin interior. Blue underglaze “cross swords” mark, incised “No 20” and impressed “163”. Length 11.25 inches (28.5 cm).
