A VERY FINE EDWARD PRIOR SILVER AND TORTOISE PAIR CASED WATCH, FOR THE TURKISH MARKET, EARLY 19TH CENTURY.  The chain drive movement contained in a hinged silver case with chased decoration, further enclosed in a clamshell silver mounted tortoise shell case (illustrated), and with an additional hinged silver cover chased with floral basket and six pointed star on reverse. Total diameter 2.625 inches (6.5 cm).
