A FRENCH CARVED IVORY PAINTED FOLDING FAN, 18TH/19TH CENTURY. The carved ivory sticks with reticulated gilt and painted floral designs supporting an arched paper folding fan painted with provincial garden scenes. Open length 17 inches (43 cm). Contained in a conforming gilt wood shadow box frame, length 25 inches (63.5 cm). (Unillustrated)
