AN EXCEPTIONAL MANHATTAN BRASS CO. RENAISSANCE REVIVAL GILT BRONZE STUDENT LAMP, LATE 19TH CENTURY. The adjustable font with patented internal reservoir, embossed with scrolled foliates and a winged dragon, extending to a lamp burner with facial mask terminal below a matching frosted and etched gilt Chinese dragon and bats decorated shade. The later electrified burner marked "Manhattan Brass Co." and last "pat. May 20 1879". Height 23.5 inches (59.7 cm).
