A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT, CLOISONNÉ AND SHADED ENAMEL SALT CHAIR, OVCHINNIKOV, MOSCOW, 1897-1908. The sides, hinged lid, and front and back of seat rest overall decorated with floral and geometric motifs in cloisonné and shaded enamel on a stippled gilt ground. Hallmarked Moscow 1897-1908 and maker's mark P OVCHINNIKOV beneath the Imperial Warrant and 84 silver standard. Height 4.2 inches (10.5 cm).
