AN IMPERIAL RUSSIAN GOLD & ENAMEL CROSS, AND SILVER & ENAMEL STAR OF THE ORDER OF ST. STANISLAS 1ST CLASS, EDUARD, ST. PETERSBURG, 1899-1907. Verso of the silver-gilt and enameled breast star with large folding flat pin, hallmarked St. Petersburg, 1899-1907, and 84 silver standard, also stamped in Cyrillic ЗДУАРД (EDUARD). At center a raised enameled intertwined S on a white enameled field encircled by the Latin motto PRAEMIANDO INCITAT (To Reward Inspires) and further out still raised laurels on a translucent green enameled ground. The loop of the gold and enameled cross stamped 56 (14kt. gold standard) and with the St. Petersburg hallmark for 1899-1907. Verso of cross with trace maker's mark for EDUARD. Breast star 90 mm, cross 61 mm.
