THREE SOVIET PORCELAIN PLATES, CIRCA 1935- . The first with scalloped edges, tan borders and the cavetto with silhouette depicting an artist sketching; verso bearing the signature in Cyrillic G. Narbut, 23 and inventory number M-576-F/I. Diameter 6.25 inches (16 cm). The second with scalloped edge and the sunken cavetto depicting the scene of a bridge construction; verso with the mark of the Proletarii Porcelain Factory. Diameter 7 inches (18 cm). The third with red banded rim, the border with the red army mark RKKA and the sunken cavetto with a likely later painted image of a rifle and red army soldier's hat, unmarked. Diameter 7.75 inches (20 cm). Together with an oval dish with scalloped edge, the border with industrial scenes and the sunken cavetto with likely later painted scenes depicting the Joy of Communism. The verso with Soviet Manufacturer's mark, circa 1950's. Length 8.75 inches (22.5 cm).
