A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE GOTHIC STYLE CARVED WOOD FIGURE OF THE MADONNA AND CHILD, GERMAN, 20TH CENTURY. Carved in half round with deep folds, cascading hair and hollow back. Height 31.5 inches (80 cm).

The offered lot closely follows the carved wood figure of the Madonna and Child housed in the German National Museum in Nuremberg and dated to circa 1500.
