A RUSSIAN ICON OF SAINT DIMITRY OF ROSTOV, 18TH CENTURY. An interesting depiction, shown in an interior wearing elaborate embroidered vestments, holding a crosier, wearing a mitre with his right hand resting on an open book and with additional books behind him. He is identified by the inscription encircling his head as "The Holy Dimitry Metropolitan of Rostov." Accompanied by original certificate of authenticity from the Ministry of Culture (Moscow) dated 1971. 12.25 inches x 10.5 inches (31 x 26.4 cm).
