A LARGE SEVRES STYLE PORCELAIN AND GILT BRONZE LIDDED URN, LATE 19TH CENTURY. Of ovoid form, finely painted in the round with a romantic scene of young lovers, pastures and a riverfront cottage. Raised on a socket mounted bronze and porcelain plinth with tooled gilt scrolls and surmounted with a waisted porcelain neck with raised gilt scroll work on a cobalt blue glazed ground. The underside of lid with painted Sevres style mark. Height 28.75 inches (73 cm).
