A VERY FINE VAN CLEEF AND ARPELS CARVED TOURMALINE IVORY, EMERALD AND SAPPHIRE PENDANT, CIRCA 1970. The highly translucent and deep colored pink tourmaline plaque pierced and carved with a standing figure of a maiden with entwining flowing robes and ribbons and holding a lotus branch, contained in a conforming surround with alternating sapphire and emerald cabochon gemstones, and radiating fluted ivory plumes, on a gold reticulated plaque inscribed "VCA" for Van Cleef and Arpels, and number 42200. Length 3.125 inches (79 mm), weight 61 grams.
