A FRENCH BOUCHERON ART DECO SILVER GILT AND SAPPHIRE SET COMPACT, CIRCA 1925. Of rectangular folding form, the pierced and chased gilt panel of bird and foliate design, set with five blue sapphires approximately 2 mm each overlaying a spring set folding mirror, the interior with additional powder compartment under a hinged silver cover. Stamped Boucheron, Paris, 875012, 80.151 and with French stamped Assay marks. Length 3.25 inches (8.3 cm), weight 170 grams.
