A VERY FINE CHINESE MUGHAL STYLE COVERED VASE, IN FINELY DETAILED CARVED WHITE JADE, LATE QING/EARLY REPUBLIC PERIOD. Of flattened ovoid form carved in a pale celadon colored white jade, with scrolled foliates in deep relief below figural elephant head handles with suspended loose rings surmounted with a domed cover carved with a cloud form finial. Height 12.5 inches (32 cm).
