A FINE CHINESE MUGHAL STYLE CARVED WHITE JADE COVERED BOX, LATE QING/EARLY REPUBLIC PERIOD. Carved in a translucent celadon colored white jade, the well hollowed rectangular box with shaped and fluted corners decorated with raised archaistic floral scrolls surmounted by a conforming cover below a handle/finial terminating with an amethyst cabochon displayed on a matching carved hardwood stand. The jade length 6.25 inches (16 cm), height 3.5 inches (9 cm), total height 5.375 inches (13.5 cm).
