A GEORGE IV SILVER FOUR-PIECE COFFEE AND TEA SERVICE, LONDON, 1830, MARK OF JONATHAN HAYNE. Comprising a coffee pot, tea pot, sugar bowl and cream jug. Each of bulbous, melon ribbed form with repousse repeating blossoms and foliage on a stippled ground, raised on four scrolling bracket feet. The cast scrolled and foliate handles with ivory mounts, the pots further decorated with sculpted love bird finials on lids. Stamped hallmarks include maker’s mark, lion passant, sovereign head, date letter and leopard’s head uncrowned. Height of coffee pot 10 inches (25.4 cm), height of tea pot 6.75 inches (17.2 cm), height of sugar & cream 5.5 inches (14 cm). Each piece lightly engraved on one rib “Tams.” Total weight approximately 83 troy ounces. Together with an early Victorian Sheffield silver plate on copper butler’s tray with cast gadrooned and shell rim, the center with engraved crest.
