A GEORGE III TWO-HANDLED SILVER LOVING CUP, NEWCASTLE, 1759-1760, MARK OF JOHN LANGLANDS. Of inverted bell form. Chased foliates, blossoms, and c-scrolls on a stippled ground below two blank cartouches. Raised on a circular foot rim pedestal flanked by two ear shape handles with hoof form terminals. Stamped city mark, lion passant, crowned leopard’s head, and date letter on vase. Maker’s mark on bottom of each handle. Height 5.8 inches (15 cm). Length 9 inches (22.9 cm). Weight 14.67 troy ounces.
