A JAPANESE SHIBAYAMA STYLE IVORY, MOTHER OF PEARL, LACQUERED GILT AND SILVER MOUNTED TABLE SCREEN, MEIJI PERIOD. The two panel rectangular folding screen decorated with a lakeside setting of animated figures below a blossoming cherry tree and pleasure boat in carved and inlaid mother of pearl, coral and hardstones against a lacquered gilt hillside with pavilions; the verso with a finely incised, carved aquatic scene of lilies and playful koi fish. Incised signature and chop. Height 10 inches (25.5 cm), length 11.5 inches (29 cm). Some losses.
