The offered lot relates to a similar portrait in the Groninger Museum, Groninger, The Netherlands, listed as follower of Rembrandt as well as the painting in the Art Gallery, Glasgow Scotland, UK, which lists their example as being by Carel Fabritous (Dutch 1622-1654).
