A VERY FINE CHINESE CARVED IVORY LUMINAIRE, MID 20TH CENTURY. Of curved cylindrical form deeply carved and pierced with a scene of elephants battling lion, deer, peacocks and pine trees against a reticulated foliate ground and raised on a shaped hardwood plinth. The ivory height 11.75 inches (30 cm) and 13.5 inches (35 cm) overall.
