A VERY FINE COROMANDEL, IVORY AND SATINWOOD GAMES COMPENDIUM, GOTHIC REVIVAL, 19TH CENTURY.The curved top lid with gilt bronze agate cabochon mounted strap work with a quatrefoil medallion centering an enameled monogram, opening to reveal an elaborate cased multiple game set containing carved Medieval theme ivory chess pieces, cribbage board, game counters, checkers, dice and shaker cups within divided satinwood compartments. The lid fitted with an inlaid folding chess/backgammon board. Closed 12.75 inches x 9.75 inches x 7 inches (30 x 25 x 18 cm).
