By descent through the family to the present owner, the great-great grandson of Hiram Hickman.

The carved pine figure wrapped in paper and painted red. The one-piece carved arms with simple swivel joints at the shoulders and the facial features in carved relief and also wrapped in paper and painted. Contained in its original pine display box with hinged lid and latch. According to the family the figure has always been referred to as the mummy; however the red paint might suggest an attempt by Hickman to render a stereotypical colored Native American Indian.
