A VERY FINE ROYAL VIENNA-STYLE COVERED PORCELAIN CUP AND UNDERPLATE, LATE 19TH CENTURY.Depicting a finely-painted Neo-Classical scene of a young warrior and beauty within an enameled gilt cartouche on a burgundy and rose pink ground with raised gilt scrolling and foliate bands, surrounded by a matching cover and resting in a deep well saucer. The cup and saucer with underglaze blue shield mark. Height 3.5 inches (9 cm). Together with a German porcelain hand-painted Napoleonic cup, probably Dresden, early 20th century, with hand-painted scene of Napoleon on horseback reviewing troops on a burgundy group with gilt scrolls, crown "N" mark. Height 4.5 inches (12 cm).
