A LARGE AND FINE CHINESE CARVED MARBLE FIGURE OF AVALOKITESVARA, 20TH CENTURY.Well sculpted in the round and chiseled in good detail depicting the seated deity reclining in lalitasana with the left leg pendent over a ledge and the right leg drawn up in a supremely relaxed and contemplative posture, wrapped loose skirts spreading over the edge in layered folds with trailing ribbons. Height 32.75 inches (83 cm).
