A MONUMENTAL CHINESE DRAGON CARVED CARNELIAN AGATE PALACE-SIZED COVERED VASE, 20TH CENTURY. The carnelian boulder in deep amber and milky pale grey/white with orange bands expertly carved and polished with a design of six playful scrolling dragons in deep relief surmounted by a cover depicting two dragons carved in partial open work design raised on a carved hardwood conforming base with inlaid silvered wire scrolling. The carnelian height 14 inches (36 cm).
