A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE CHINESE CARVED CARNELIAN AGATE FOO LION, 20TH CENTURY.In deep amber and greyish colored carnelian carved and polished depicting a recumbent foo lion attending an associated carving of two young cubs, raised on a carved hardwood conforming base inlaid with silvered wire scrolling. The carnelian length 16 inches (40.5 cm) x 9.5 inches (24 cm).
