AN IMPERIAL RUSSIAN SILVER AND ENAMELED CIGARETTE CASE, MIKHAIL ISAKOV, ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1890. The surface reeded overall, the lid applied with a red and blue enamel crowned cypher BA for Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich (1847-1909). The end with vesta compartment and striking plate, tender chord, and gilt interior. Hallmarked St. Petersburg circa 1890, Cyrillic makers mark "MI" for Mikhail Isakov, and 84 silver standard. Length 3.5 inches (9 cm).
