AN IMPERIAL RUSSIAN SILVER PLIQUE-A-JOUR, GUILLOCHE AND CHAMPLEVÉ ENAMEL SHERBET CUP WITH MATCHING UNDERPLATE, KHLEBNIKOV, MOSCOW, 1899-1907. Rising from a cone form foot, the tapering central stem supporting a tri-form node from which extends three support arms holding the bowl. The base, stem, and lower bowl of scrolling foliage and flower forms in champlevé enamel, the rim of bowl in plique-a-jour enameled flowerheads, the interior in translucent lime green enamel over an engine-turned ground, and the tri-formed node with shaded enamel coat of arms for the cities of Moscow, Novgorod, and Kazan. The underplate with flared foot, the border in plique-a-jour enameled flower forms, the cavetto with champlevé enameled medallion encircled with a band of translucent lime green enamel over an engine-turned ground, hallmarked Moscow 1899-1907, with Cyrillic makers mark of Khlebnikov beneath the Imperial Warrant and 88 silver standard. Together with a silver-gilt champlevé and plique-a-jour sherbet spoon with flat shaped handle on a twisted stem, hallmarked Moscow 1908-1917, makers mark for the 11th Artel . Measurements: Sherbet height 7 inches (17.8 cm), underplate diameter 7.5 inches (19 cm), spoon length 5.6 inches (14.5 cm).
