A RUSSIAN GOLD AND GEM SET PENCIL, NICHOLLS & PLINCKE, ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1890. The gold cylindrical case with slight twist pattern and Trompe l'oeil stitched strap and suspending two blue sapphire cabochons and diamond pendants. Hallmark St. Peterburg, circa 1890, Latin makers initials "N&P" and 56 gold standard (14K). Length 3.1 inches (8 cm), contained in its original velvet and silk lined leather covered case.
