A GROUP OF FIVE RUSSIAN LACQUERWARE ITEMS, 19TH CENTURY. Comprising a rectangular cigarette case with rounded edges painted with a scene of the St. Basil's on luster ground; a matchbox holder painted with two peasants in a courting scene; a rectangular coin purse with rounded edges painted with a scene of figures at a well, the interior with blue fabric accordian divider; a lacquered napkin ring of ovoid form painted with a scene of two women on luster ground; and a round lidded pill box painted with a winter troika scene with red lacquered interior. Greatest length 3.1 inches (8 cm).
