AN INTERESTING CARVED WOOD AND POLYCHROMED FOLK ART BLESSING CROSS, 19TH CENTURY, LITHUANIAN? Fully carved in high relief on both sides, the front carved with a crucified Christ and the cross ends terminating with medallions carved with God the Father at top, the two Mary's at center and John the Baptist at the base. The verso carved at center with the Baptism of Christ and the terminating ends carved with the four Evangelists. Set in an integral shaped base carved with swags. Height 14.5 inches (36.8 cm).
