A LIMOGES ENAMEL PLAQUE OF THE BETRAYAL OF CHRIST, 19TH CENTURY. Finely enameled in grisaille and with gold highlights. At center, Judas betrays Christ with a kiss in the Garden of Gethsemane as Peter raises his sword to cut off the ear of Malchus, the High Priest's servant, who lies on the ground holding a lamp. Signed with gilt monogram lower right and contained in gilt metal frame with ribbon tied suspension loop. 5.5 inches x 4.25 inches (14 x 10.5 cm).
