AN IMPRESSIVE VIENNESE SILVERED, ENAMELED, AND CARVED ROCK CRYSTAL CASKET, 19TH/20TH CENTURY.  The rectangular cover finely cast and chased with a scene from the "Rape of the Sabine Women" in deep relief above a quatrefoil shaped panel base finely enameled with similar scenes together with additional images of satyrs and nudes each divided by twist carved rock crystal columns raised on a silvered stepped plinth with carved crystal feet. The cover lifting to reveal a silvered interior finely engraved with large scenic depictions of classical nudes and figures. Indistinct stamped hallmarks, height 7.5 inches (10 cm), length 12.25 inches (31 cm).
