A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE BERLIN SILVER CENTERPIECE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, SY & WAGNER BERLIN. In Rococo style, the central tazza well chased and repoussed with reticulated rocaille, rose blossoms and extending scrolled acanthus surmounting scallop shell form coupes with silver liners raised on large acanthus and rocaille bracket feet. Inscribed and monogramed with presentation date 3 April 1873-1898. Inscribed on edge "Sy & Wagner Berlin 800 1181-12". Length 23.5 inches, height 11.5 inches (59.5 x 29 cm), weight 82 troy oz.
