A GOOD FRENCH CARVED IVORY DIPTYCH SPHERE, PROBABLY 18TH CENTURY. The interiors carved in deep relief. The left section depicting the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Paradise. The right section depicting the murder of Abel by Cain. The exterior carved with strapwork over fluted ribs. Diameter 2.125 inches (5.3 cm) closed, length 4.125 inches (10.5 cm) open.
