A LARGE RUSSIAN ICON OF THE BIRTH OF THE MOTHER OF GOD, PROBABLY 19TH CENTURY IN THE 17TH CENTURY STYLE. At left, the recumbent Saint Anne after having given birth to the Virgin who is given the traditional bath depicted lower right and who is seen with her parents at upper right. 20.8 inches x 17.75 inches (53 x 45 cm).
