A FINE RUSSIAN KUSTAR POLYCHROME CARVED WOOD TANKARD, SERGIEV POSAD, CIRCA 1910. Of tapering cylindrical form with attached scroll handle and hinged lid. The sides painted with a scene from a Russian (Pushkin) fairytale in the style of Ivan Bilibin and with decorative banding. Height 10.5 inches (26.5 cm).
