A FINE JAPANESE SILVER MOUNTED AND GILT LACQUERED CHEST, MEIJI PERIOD. With carved and reticulated panels of silver lotus blossoms over a gilt metal ground and raised on bamboo form feet, the two hinged doors opening to reveal four lacquered drawers with silver bail handles and embossed dragon medallions, incised chop mark on base. Height 8.5 inches (21.5 cm).
