Lieutenant Colonel (Oberstleutnants) was a general staff officer of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In this waist-up portrait, Colonel Vorner is depicted in full military regalia wearing various state and foreign awards. Identifiable are the Austrian Order of Teutonic Knights Marian Neck Cross, Austrian Order of the Iron Crown, Austrian Military Merit Cross, Austrian Crown Jubilee Medals, Prussian Red Cross Medal, Vatican Knight Commander with Star of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, The Order of Malta, Bulgarian Order of St. Alexander with Breast Star, Bulgarian Order for Military Merit with Breast Star and others.
