A VERY FINE CLASSICAL CARVED MAHOGANY ARMOIRE, ATTRIBUTED TO JOHN NEEDLES (1786-1878), BALTIMORE, CIRCA 1825. With two paneled doors flanked by carved and reeded elongated stems of wheat below a pediment top, opening to reveal six fitted pull out linen shelves and two drawers on the left with wardrobe hanger on the right. The whole raised on a framed mahogany frame with ebonized ball feet. Height 76.75 inches (195 cm), width 52.25 inches (132.7 cm), depth 20.25 inches (51.5 cm).
