ITALIAN (MILANESE) IVORY INLAY AND EBONIZED DRESSING TABLE, 19TH CENTURY. Finely inlaid with an etched ivory design of two winged griffins supporting a shield, within scrolled foliate designs. The skirt and drawer with similar scrolled foliate animal forms and facial masks. Raised on four turned legs. The hinged lid opening to reveal a beveled mirror and rosewood interior. Height 28.5 inches (71.6 cm), width 23 inches (59 cm), depth 15.5 inches (39.3 cm).
