A CHIURAZZI BRONZE GUERIDON TABLE , AFTER THE ROMAN ORIGINAL, ITALY, 1868. In green patinated bronze, with three claw footed griffin legs surmounted with winged sphinxes supporting a basin top. Incised Napoli, 1868 and with Churazzi foundry mark. This athenienne (table) is a copy of a model discovered at Herculaneum (in Naples) and is now conserved at the Museum of Naples, illustrated in World History of Furniture, Paris, 1992, P 18. Repairs and damage. Height 36 inches (91.4 cm), diameter 22 inches (56 cm).
