A GILDED STERLING AND BRASS TULIP-FORM CHALICE, probably French circa 1860. The domed gilt base chased with Eucharistic motifs, the baluster form stem supporting a silver gilt chased and pierced basket of scrolling foliage, wheat and grape motifs. Together with three engraved oval cartouches depicting the Cross, the All-Seeing Eye of God, and the Bible. Flared sterling gilt cup hallmarked Sterling. Overall height 11.25 inches.
