AN INTERESTING EMBROIDERED SILK PANEL, DEPICTING THE SHROUD OF TURIN, 18TH CENTURY, ITALIAN. The silk panel centered with a depiction of a Bishop and two clerics holding the Shroud of Turin beneath a silver embroidered canopy with crown finial. Their faces and the shroud image in watercolor The borders with scrolling foliage and florals worked in colored silk and silver thread. Contained in a glazed gilt frame 16 inches x 20 inches (40.5 x 51 cm).
