AN INTERESTING BLACK AMERICANA FOLK ART CARVED AND POLYCHROME SLAVE AUCTION PEDESTAL. The late 19th/early 20th century square wood pedestal with later polychrome lettering inscribed "Col. T.B. Parker Auctioneer, Slave Trader, Tobacco, Land, Cotton, Livestock, Savanna, Georgia". With further similar inscriptions on side panels. Surmounted with a carved and polychrome figure of a black man with applied black wool hair. Total height 69.5 inches (176.5 cm).
